My elite controller will not turn on even though there are fully charged rechargeable batteries

My old batteries also stopped working after sometime ago, they didn't exactly stopped, but their voltage were reduced with time, and they weren't capable of keeping the controller on.

The problem may be due to the batteries you are using: rechargeable batteries have a lifetime which can vary

I don not know why, but sometimes it happens that i recharge a couple of batteires but they get depleted just by turning on the controller.

As said try using a cable from xbox to console to see if it powers up and stays on, if it dose it's the batteries.

Have you tried connecting the controller to the console with a cable and see if it will switch on.

If it doesn't work then you would need to have it repaired, if the controller is still under warranty you can request a repair on the website.

even though your batteries are showing green and you think they are fully charged they are not.

the green light is showing the voltage not the amps.

most rechargeable batteries need between 8-16 hours to be fully charged from first use and that is with no current being used from them.

the fact that your controller is active while being charged will only increase the charging time.
