My downloads keep getting queued

I just bough FIFA 16 from the xbox store and it started to download until it got to 5%. It was then added to the queue even though I had nothing else downloading. I have tried to install it again multiple times but the same thing keeps happening. I don't
know what to do about this.

Download stuck, keeps getting queued

I have tried everything to download metal gear solid. The installation starts quickly topping out around 70 mbps but once it gets to 3% it stopped, drops down to mere bits per second (singular bits). and endlessly cycles between the queue and "installing".
I've tried canceling and trying again. I've tried restarting, both the router, and my system. My most recent attempt i did a complete factory reset. and it is still stuck at 3%.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can attempt:

Make sure that you’re connected to Xbox Live and signed in with the profile that originally purchased the content.

Make sure that you have enough space on your hard drive to install the content:

1. Say “Xbox, go to notifications,” or select Notifications in the upper-left corner of your Home screen.
   
2. See if there are any notifications about low or unavailable hard drive space. Xbox One will alert you when you’re running low.
   
3. If there’s a notification about low drive space, you’ll have to either delete content to free up space or add an external drive. For information about setting up and managing external storage, seeUnderstand
   and manage storage on Xbox One.
   

To delete items from your hard drive:

1. Say “Xbox, go to my games and apps,” or select My games & apps at the right of your Home screen.
   
2. Browse your games and apps to find items you no longer use.
3. Highlight the game or app you want to uninstall.
4. Press the Menu button on your controller.

1. Select Manage game or Manage app.
2. Select the installation. For example, select Internal Manage all.
3. Select Uninstall all.
4. Repeat this process until you have enough free space on your hard drive. Note that games take up a lot more space than apps.

That is not the problem. I bought an external hard drive that is compatible and i have other games stored on there. Do you have any other suggestions.

 

Have you tried power cycling the console by holding the power button for 10 seconds until it shuts down?

 

Yes I have tried this multiple times.

After following the step above by holding the power for 10 seconds, did you unplug it and disconnect the power brick from the console as well for 30 seconds?

it could be your internet connection sometimes when a download can't get a connection or the connection is unstable the game can't download so it would just get cued & the next 1 would start, you could try pausing your other downloads so the xbox will just
concentrate on the fifa 16, you could test your internet connection with your xbox in settings

not sure if this is the problem just a suggestion

 

Ok thanks. This might be it. Over the past week we have been having some difficulty with the internet connection.

 

you should phone your internet provider & inform them of your connection they could do some problem solving with you over the phone or even send someone out depending on the problem, hope you get it sorted out soon
