My Disobedient Xbox One Remote

Well to put it short,

My Xbox One remote is being difficult at the moment. Whenever i turn it on, it blinks twice, then the third blink fades slowly away as it turns right back off. Every time i try turning it on again, I come up with the same result.

Now, I've tried many methods of helping this, like checking if the remote needs an update, or if battery life was low, or just trying a different brand of batteries, aside from my usual AA Duracell: Duralock batteries. None of those methods made a difference.

I've searched all over the internet for anyone with a similar problem, but to my surprise, I've not yet seen a person who has posted something similar to my problem. I don't know if i was being unobservant or not, but i did look around quite a bit.

Please give me some ideas on how to fix this. My patience has been worn thin, and frankly, I would like to throw this remote into a wide chasm leading to Hell, but that would be around $49.99 dollars out of my pocket.
