My disk drive is dying,woe is me.

Started with bf4 disk a couple of weeks ago having to insert/reinsert 3-4-5 times befor it would read it,then spread to forza disk and getting more noisey and making not nice clucking sounds,now its doing it with nfs rivals disk,so definitly getting worse.

Yes im a bit upset,BUT my point here is the XB1is still an awesome machine,I cannot expect every single xb1 to not be completely faultless its just unfortunate,even all that preperation to get a day 1 on midnight launch from game isnt a waste because it
was the taking part I will never forget,the spirit of us gamers.

So roll on 9am quite simply a phone call to the shop,and replacement...NO DRAMA what so ever.

I was having that issue or it would Q to install and just hang. I finally deleted everything Forza 5 related with the exception of saves and re-installed. Hasn't happened since then. I assume something in the first install was corrupted and caused the never
ending install loop.

 

That sucks. Hopefully you get a new one without a problem.

thanks guys,bit of a pain in the bum but heyho,and jsut for any ones info..ive now called game had to call uk 08432081076,explained my issue,got a reference number,just gota pack up the whole lot and take it down the shop and replacement.sorted

I know GAME get quite a lot of stick regarding their prices and lets be honest they are not always the greatest but I've always stuck with them when buying consoles, any problems, pack it all up and they replace it there and then, no sitting around for days/weeks
waiting for a new console to arrive

I can't fault them here.

 

thanks again guys,ive just arrived home,with brand new xbox one,4 hours since original phone call,replaced,it helped me actually recording footage of the problem too.

even though i have the £64 repair extra warrenty,this just shows until nov 22nd 2014 my xbox is covered for full replacement in store as long as the stock is in at the time,well done GAME.

birth date is 2013/11/08,gota leave it settle now for a bit,1st impressions the front panel where the on button is ,is not loose like the day one edition,front sticker has HDMI in big letters added to the do not move ect,

Big difference on the controller feels alot more robust on the handles no loosness or creaking.Dont like the white packaging inside the box,alas my day one cardboard how i miss it so.lmao.

This has reminded me that I need to get down to GAME today/tomorrow and stick a few pre-orders down, I keep meaning to but it's always ... "I'll do it tomorrow" and tomorrow never comes.

The wife has give me a list of a few games she wants me to pick up ( she hasn't give me the money though :-/ ) .. now why is it when I want to buy a game all I get from her ... "What ANOTHER game" ... yet not a word from me ( I'm a wimp lol ) when she wants
something!

for all I know my drive is faulty too.. I only used it once.... to test it out a week after I got it...

I would be the prime example of someone who wouldve went with the disc-less model if they had one...

 

Living 5 minutes away from game is the way forward,LMAO m8,just did PvZ and its not looking like £40 apparently for xb1 and theif game collectors,same price as norm,no codes for xb1 ESO special yet though only PC.They still taking orders for the Tfall robot/controller/headset...(off
topic:keyboard and mouse too),but limited stock so get on it,if you want the robot.

Yeah my wife is learning quickly that the first year of a new console is typically the most expensive. I have the Titanfall TB Ear Force Atlas headset along with the Titanfall controller pre ordered. I also have Thief, Titanfall, The Crew, Destiny, and
Watchdogs pre ordered. However, I have busted her playing Forza 5 a few times in the morning when I get home from work.
