My digital games fail to launch

As of about a week or so ago, my digital games fail to launch after playing one. If I quit one game then start another it tries but then I get the message that it had a problem starting the game, no matter which game I choose. Only solution is to remove
power cable then it works right for a few hours or so. Any help? Thanks all.

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to get this dealt with. I can totally see how this could throw anyone for a loop, but this is what we're here for. I suggest trying a soft reset of the console.
It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

To do so, follow the steps here on
How to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One, select the option denoted reset and keep my games and keep my games & apps,
and let us know how that helps with the issue.

Moved everything to my external drive, did a soft factory reset and no luck. Still the same issue. Half he time it won't turn on with the controller either and I have three if them, updated software.

It's all my digital games. Both on internal drive and external drive. I appreciate you helping.

Hi there,

Are you using an external HDD? perhaps try using another source and see if the problems persists? You may need to re-download the game.

Did a hard restart to reboot console and that solved the issue. My understanding is the OS on a reboot dumbs a system cache that clears for connections. Same as a PC that needs to be done manually, especially when you're playing and connecting to several
different game services repeatedly.
