My Digital downloads won't load on console even after clearing cache.

This started happening around last week when I downloaded a beta demo for "Pure Hold Em" on the xbox marketplace. After the download completed, I tried to launch the game. but it only shows the image screen for launch, then it only took me back to the
dashboard. The second occurrence happened when I downloaded Forza Horizon presents; Fast and the Furious. I downloaded it a total of three times, and the first two times it would do the same, until the third time is was downloaded it finally launched. I purchased
Type 0 HD, and today I used the demo token that was included with this day one edition, and after downloading it twice, it reacts the same way. I am using up a lot of bandwidth and time. I have tried clearing my cache in two different ways, on multiple occasions,
especially after I see the problem happening after download. I hold the xbox consoles power button down for 10 seconds until it fully shuts off, then wait for the power brick to turn orange, and then turn the console back on. I also tried unplugging the console
for 2 minutes from the power outlet as well, then reconnecting, and it does not solve the issue. Could someone please explain the situation as to why this is happening, and a fix for this.

This is now the 6th time I have downloaded the Final Fantasy XV demo, and each time it reacts the same way by returning me to the dashboard. I have cleared my cache before and after, each time after trying to redownload and reinstall the game. 6 times???
There is clearly something wrong. I purchased and downloaded 4 games from the marketplace yesterday, as well as installed 3 new disc games that needed updates, and all were fine, except for one lego game i bought on xbl, and I had to redownload and install,
but after the redownload, it worked fine. FF XV is the only one I keep getting problems with. Could it be some type of license issue/failure? Or the file on server is just corrupt?

 

wow, i cant get any real support from microsoft employees, and now the same thing is happening with other purchases. I tried to chat with a volunteer and this person told me that i should only buy physical games from gamestop and not to buy from the marketplace
since my downloads arent working.

As a paying customer who owns more than 50 xbox one games, and an endless amount of 360 games. and is constantly spending money with microsoft you would think I could get some support.

 

This is an odd-sounding issue. I see a power cycle didn't fix it. Perhaps a console reset will do the trick. If you have 50 games to download/install, that's going to be time-consuming but it might also be the only thing that will resolve this issue.

If you do reset the console, it will be really easy to re-download games after; you go to My Games & Apps and go all the way to the right and after a while a grey pane appears which shows owned-but-not-installed games (under the heading 'Ready to Install').
You just have to hit A on those and confirm to add them to the Queue for re-download.

I've not seen anyone else with this issue. If you're playing offline and get a 'do you own this?' message, I would say you need to make sure the console is your Home Xbox, which will give you all the licences. But if you're not getting that and it's just
returning to the Home screen, I would say a complete reset is the only way forward.

I tried your suggestion of resetting the console, I transfered everything to an external hdd before hand. I then downloaded two games, and it worked fine, I did not transfer anything back to the console from the hdd, and the third game I downloaded, I came
up with the same problem again. I tried to clear the cache, and it also still would not load. It did not solve the Issue.

I am always online when I play games, and my xbox is my home xbox. I am most likely returning my xbox because it has other slight problems as well and im still under warranty.

 

I'm not having the issue to the same extent as you... but whenever there is an update to a game, my console opts to just reinstall the whole game instead of just the update. The only "fix" is to uninstall the whole game and redownload it again. You don't
know how fun it is to download 78gigs of content only to not be in the mood to play it once it's finished...

 

I am having this issue too. After the last dashboard update I started not being able to play some of my games and apps. They would crash to the dashboard. Then I tried reinstalling and it would continue to fail after installing for a bit. Now I am seeing
it with the Dragon Age Inquisition update that was just released. This has happened for both digital and disc based games. It's infuriating since I had to completely reinstall COD AW and all of its content in order to get it working again (which takes hours).
Currently I still can't get Dragon Age to install properly.
