My Dad is still paying for a xbox live Gold subscription on an account we can't use

Hi,

So I had this Xbox Account a while ago (about 5-6 years), which I cannot Log in to anymore. My dad paid for the Xbox Live Gold Subscription on that account which is (obviously) not the one I'm typing the message with.

When we changed Internet and Phone Provider, the Mail to log in with wasn't accessible anymore, because we couldn't figure out a way to recover the password. All of a sudden it was necessary to type in the password of that Xbox Account to stay logged in
which we had forgotten as mentioned previously. From then on I created a new Xbox Account which Im paying for myself nowadays. This was around 2012/13.

The big problem is, the Gold Subscription is still on to this day and we can't figure out a way to cancel it, because we cannot access that Xbox Account anymore. Somehow the Payment Method has not expired, even though we didn't and couldn't update the information
of that credit card for about 6 YEARS!!

I hope someone can help me here as I am extremely helpless in this case. My father paid about 480€ for nothing.

We are now trying to recover the old Mail Account (once again) through the Microsoft Mail Password Recovery Process, but the last few times it always said that there wasn't enough information to recover the password.

Again, I would appreciate it if someone could help me with my dilemma

Xbox live o. Xbox 1

So in my house we have 2 xbox 1s. MY dad has xbox live on his xbox.My profile is on both xbox 1s. Which I should have xbox live on either xbox 1 when I wanna play but on my xbox 1 it stopped letting me use xbox live from my dad. I havent had a new subscription
for almost a full year.Any reason why I can't use my dad's xbox live on my xbox?

My account is hooked up to a xbox live family with my dad paying for it he has xbox live gold and i dont and he just renwewed it for a year then yesterday i download a trial and It says i have noo xbox live but my dad stils has gold is this

He's gone in to update setting in Privacy to "friends" and "allow", but we still are not able to access any clubs or friends. We're also confused about whether we need an Xbox Live Gold subscriptions AS WELL AS a separate 2k account. My dad switched
to his account on the Xbox console - and HE was not allowed to get a MyPlayer for some reason. It's not intuitive to either of us.

No,you can't.

You would need a xbox live subscription card for 1,3 or 12 months or you can pay by credit/debit card or paypal.

Currency cards can't be used to pay for a xbox live gold subscription.

You would want to set it up so he doesn't have to switch his Home setting. So for example:

He has Account #1 (the account he uses at your house) and Account #2 (the account he uses at his dad's). You continue to pay for Gold so Account #1 has the Gold subscription.

He signs into the console at his dad's house with Account #1 and sets that console as his Home. He can continue to use Account #2 at his dad's house and still access Gold. Then when he comes back to your house, he can sign in and use Account #1. No need
to switch the Home setting between houses.

Thank you for your reply. This works if we use the same Xbox for both accounts. As soon as we log into the 2nd Xbox and try to access Fortnite the system is prompting us to pay for the Xbox Live Gold subscription
