my custom gamer pic was removed

I’m having the same issue at the moment, I logged onto my Xbox the other day and my custom gamer pic has been removed and all my friends have default gamer pics, my friends can still see my custom gamer pic but I can’t see anyones

Edit: I restarted my console and I can see my custom gamer pic but no one elses

I'm sorry to hear about the issues that you're experiencing with your custom gamer pic.

From what you've described, I'm not exactly sure why this could be happening but something about the image must be viewed as

inappropriate or a copyright issue?

If you upload an inappropriate custom image it may be removed and replaced with the most recent Microsoft-created image that you used, and you will be prevented from uploading any additional imagery for a specific period (typically 24 hours). Repeated violations
or especially inappropriate images may result in lengthier suspensions.

Keep in mind that once you’ve uploaded an image, even if it was shown only briefly or was subsequently changed, it may get reviewed and the account may still be subject to enforcement action.

Thanks for bringing your issue to the forums for help. I am sorry that you are experiencing this issue. I personally had a similar experience a few years ago which turned out to be an issue with the Xbox algorithm which they rectified for me as soon I'd

There is definitely nothing inappropriate about that gamer pic and it more than likely was not removed because of that. The closest thing that picture would violate in the code of conduct would be that it is a picture that you are not authorized to share
since it is a logo that is copyrighted and trademarked by the
Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment company. Quoted from the Microsoft Services Agreement, under the Code of Conduct, "viii. Don’t infringe upon the rights of others (e.g., unauthorized sharing of copyrighted music or other
copyrighted material, resale or other distribution of Bing maps, or photographs). I have seen gamer pics of copyrighted logos get taken down after months of having it up. Action is only taken when the party who owns the copyright raises a concern with Xbox
or if someone reports your picture through the Xbox Live reporting feature.

The only other reason for this is that you mentioned your account was changed to a child account and child accounts are not allowed to have custom gamer pics. What I don't understand is how this could've happened since Microsoft age verification happens
during account creation. If you already had a Microsoft account and then made an Xbox Live profile, the age used for Xbox Live is the one on your Microsoft account. If you create both at the same time, you choose your age and it sets it for you at that point.
You being able to use a credit card is also verification your account is an adult account, or at least should be. I'm not aware of any kind of algorithm you said that Xbox support mentioned to you that converts an account to a child account.

What was the conversation you had with support and have you taken a look at your Xbox Live privacy settings making sure it's set to adult defaults?
