My current Xbox account is incorrectly locked to the wrong billing country.

Hi,

I made an account for my Xbox One a couple of years back which I'm now trying to use for my old Xbox 360. Only problem is that I've apparently registered it to the wrong country; England (should be Sweden), that or someone hacked my account and managed to
change it without me knowing.

I'd like to change the registered country for this account back to Sweden if possible. Also my Xbox One sadly broke due to a thunderstorm last year and I am not able to use it at all if that matters.

You can migrate your account region at http://live.xbox.com/accountmigration

you will have to do 2 renames

one to free up the name for 800ms points

then create an new account which gives you a free rename for the first 30days purchases and downloads do not transfer over

it is unknown when the previous name is freed up

this is why it is always suggested you use your real region when creating an account

so billing and download issues don't arise

if he really wants the name he will have to provide ms points or be creative with the new name

@ngocphi: The OP can't add microsoft points to his account as he lives in the UK, and has a US Region account.
