how do I get my crosswords game updated? Do I have to delete it and start over? If I have to delete it, how do I do that?

reset done - no change in game - no update in store either

I would first start with Resetting the app. If you go to Settings > Apps > Microsoft Ultimate Word Games and click "Advanced Options" the next page will have an option to "Reset". Now that will reset the APP but not your PROGRESS. If you've played online
with a Microsoft Account, then your progress will be saved, and it should fix the app. Once it resets, then I'd check the Windows 10 Store for updates.

Let me know if that doesn't fix it, there are a few other things we can try.
