my copy of halo 1 doesn't want to run on my xbox 360

i meet all of the requirements to play original xbox games on my 360 and have been able to play other titles on my xbox 360 except this one.

the error code(s) i keep getting is x:5829.0 B: 1884.0 and it either say game is not supported when it obviously is or it has encountered a problem and cant continue both with the same error code. it sometimes won't even read saying unrecognized disc or
mixed media disc. sometimes it will attempt to load and crash with the error that was something like xx-18-00 cant remember. ive already called microsoft support about the issue and the chat # is 1353827854 which recommended me to make a post on
this forum so yeah.

Is this correct? Can you really download your Copy on Two Consoles and run it at the SAME TIME? How does this work? Why in the hell am I just now putting two and two, TOGETHER!

Am I really hearing this right? I can Download One copy of Halo 4 from GOD and run it on my two XBOX 360's on two separate televisions, both on xbox live playing online matchmaking? It just doesn't seem natural. Is there like a wiki or a video that explains
this? I'm extremely skeptical but it doesn't seem like it wouldn't be possible. Is it?

 

Disc drive makes loud whirring sound, only for Halo 4

A few weeks ago my friend kicked over my 360 while it was playing my copy of Halo 4, disc 1. A circular scratch was left on the disc, and it no longer worked in the 360, though the 360 still worked perfectly. I bought a new copy of Halo 4 but whenever I
try to play it the 360 makes a loud buzzing sound. The 360 plays all of my other games without any issues, and without the loud buzzing noise. The buzzing noise only occurs when I try to play Halo 4.

Any ideas?

 

Sounds to me like the disc is to scratched or otherwise damaged. Try obtaining another copy, there are plenty floating about. You could probably even get the anniversary edition for a few bucks now.

 

While my college Sn1p3r is correct, another explanation is that when Halo: CE got released, Bungie released two versions of the game. Only one of those versions is compatable. I have both versions of that game, and I know for a fact that only one of them
works. Now I don't remember which one it is, but regardless, if your disc is too scratched up, you're buying it again anyways. Sorry man. I highly recommend getting Anniversary, its the same game and you can switch to the original graphics mid-game

 

how do i tell which version i have? I do know that my copy has the game demos option at the bottom of the menu and the ones i have seen working on the xbox 360 do not.

 

it appears there were 4 different disc releases of this game in the USA. the initial release, Platinum Hits, Game of the Year, and Best of Platinum Hits. it's hard to say if any of the discs were identical or not, but i figured i'd show you all some pictures
as a reference. perhaps you can figure out which one you had that didn't work and let us know.

Have you tried obtaining a friend's copy and install their game onto your console?

Because once I bought a used copy of BF4 and the campaign disc happened to be slightly scratched up. I've tried everything from rubbing deodorant all over the disc to splattering toothpaste on it. In the end, I borrowed a friend's copy and installed the
disc. After that, my copy worked perfectly.
