    then the headphones / microphone are already failing, try another control and if they work, it may be the input of your control, you will have to replace it

    Hi mate as far as I'm aware usb headsets don't work on Xbox it has to be 3.5mm jack

    You can always get a mixamp adapter that plugs into your controller. The adapter will plug into the hdmi slot on your controller. Turtle beach, astro, and xbox all have then. I use one and it's nice to have a mute and mix amp controls right at the controller.

    The Xbox One does not support USB headset, the console only supports wired connection to the controller via the 3.5 mm jack or with the Xbox One headset adapter. which connects to the bottom of the controller, or you can use a wireless headset which connects
    straight to the Xbox One wireless connection. Your best bet would be to purchase the Xbox One headset adapter.
