My controllers keep turning off once connected to the xbox

I started having this issue after a recent update.I have tried changing batteries and used three different controllers one being wired. I have tried turning the xbox off then on again. The controllers can turn on the xbox but then turn off after the xbox home screen pops up. Does anyone else have this problem or have a solution?

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

To permanently fix this please perform a powercycle by following the steps below:

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Unplug your console for 5 minutes.

3. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

After leaving the xbox off for 30 minutes it started working again

figured it out. Xbox series X wont turn off your controller or respond to the controller once its on a off state if your console is in ENERGY SAVER mode. In order to be able to turn your xbox on with the controller you must be in STANDBY mode. Thats a stupid move by Microsoft to force you to keep wasting power in order to turn on you console with the controller.

Start this off with the console turned OFF, and the controller turned OFF

Press and hold the Xbox Guide button in the middle of your wireless controller until the green light flashes.

Turn on your Xbox 360 console. Press and hold the connect button next to the memory card ports on the front of your console.

Press and hold the connect button on the top of your wireless controller. Use the controller with your console once the green flashing lights on both units cease spinning.

I have the exact same problem.

I can use the controllers for any length of time once connected but as soon as I turn the console off the controller gets disconnected once I turn the unit back on.

If I try to turn the unit back on via the controller the LED on the controller simply flashes and the console stays off.

If I turn the console on manually the controller isn't connected and no amount of re'syncing will fix it.

The only way for me to reconnect the controller is to do a full system reset and then use the controller to turn on the console.

Really annoying having to full reset my console every time I want to use it.

Considering returning the console.
