    It is not my router or internet access. Every other device is fine. My router or modem would not explain why the console itself no longer detects that it has an adapter. There is some interference going on. Perhaps a glitch.

    I have tried all the basic trouble shooting steps just as those other people with the same problem as me.

    Hey ! Are you able to update the drivers at all or does the computer not recognize that the controller is connected. If it does not show a device or unidentified device in the Device Manager, you should try a different cable as the PC is most
    likely not detecting it. If possible, post up some screenshots of what you're seeing so we can take a look. Thanks!
    Yes the PC wasn't detecting the controller because I was using the wrong USB. It turns out that I need to buy a specific USB in order for the PC to detect the controller and for me to use it on the PC. I need to buy it because I don't have that type of USB.
    The USB that I was using was one that charged and/or powered the controller so I could use it for my Xbox console only. I tried all of my USBs that I have, none worked. It wasn't my PC or my console, it was the USB. And all the drivers are updated. I tried
    everything you said, but it didn't work. I was very confused because well, you're a staff at Microsoft :) Then the thought came to me. "My PC isn't detecting the controller because I have the wrong USB." I looked to see if there was a specific USB I needed
    for the controller and there was. I still want to thank you for trying to help me and replying to my post. Also, thank you for telling me what to do to get this to work so that I can use this information in the future. THANK YOU MICROSOFT AND ALL OF YOUR HARD
