    My controller won't stay connected/work

So whenever I turn my controller on now, it will not connect to the console. I have pressed the sync button on the controller and the console at the same time and the controller eventually just turns off again because it doesn't recognise the xbox one. When
I plug the controller in with a 'plug and play' kit it looks to be connected as the light on the controller stays on. However, it works for about 10 seconds normally and then none of the buttons do anything at all. The controller still has a light to show
it is connected but it won't work. I have tried clearing my cache and turning the xbox on and off many times. None of this has worked. This problem began two days ago. Thanks

    :)

    My controller won't stay connected

    Jeff,

Please make sure that your console is not plugged into anything else besides a WALL outlet. If you have your console in a surge protector, do not just unplug and re plug please follow these steps

Disconnect and reconnect your console's power cable

    1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
    2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 30 seconds.
Important Be sure to wait 30 seconds. This step resets the power supply.
    3. Plug the console power cable back in to a WALL outlet.
    4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

If you have any question please reply.

  3. My controller won't stay connected

Once you pair with your console it should always connect automatically unless you used it on another Xbox one console or a PC.
