That sounds strange.

Do you have anything close to your Controller or PC that send out a similar signal?

Or is anything in the way.

Did you try out a other controller?

Are you using a wired or wireless controller?

Seems worse now, the power light doesn't turn on at all (even though the system is on), and the controller doesn't even sporadically connect. Even though I can turn the system on with it if I plug it in with the plug and play adapter. Anyone think if I buy
a wired controller it'd work? Rather do that than have to send my system away.

My Xbox started doing it after I downloaded a controller update for my headset which didn't even work. Idk if the update is sending wrong signals or what system isn't hot but the dashboard says problem may occur but on Microsoft's side, not sure, but hopefully

The latest update bricked both of my XBoxes. The older 120 GB 360 (on wireless) downloaded the update fine but now no longer sends a signal to the screen but MS wants $100 to even look at it since it is 2 years old. The new 4 GB 360 slim (wired) had trouble
downloading the update as it changed the status of the memory to "Unformatted" DURING the download update, and then, after failing to update via a USB stick, now is no longer sending a signal to the screen and eventually displays a red power light. They are
replacing the Slim but why on earth am I now just out of luck on the Elite when it's obvious that it is their update that is the problem?

I’ve plugged it into my PC which detected it, I’ve tried a new wire in my XBOX. The light on the external storage device lights up when i plug it into my XBOX.
