    Xbox One disconnecting from Internet need help

    I had the same issue recently. My controller was also frequently disconnecting and then failing to reconnect. Disabling 'Instant On' has seemingly fixed my wireless problems.

    Random disconnects

    My controller randomly disconnects when not plugged in to the Xbox one and as it does this my Xbox will completely disconnect me from Xbox live for a few seconds. This has happened a few times now and is getting more frequent. Anything I can do to fix this.

    Hi, sorry to hear that's happening. I would recommend trying the troubleshooting steps in this guide: Xbox One Wireless Controller Help | Fix Your Xbox One Controller

    If the steps there don't work, and you have the ability to test a different controller to see if you have the same issues, I'd recommend doing that. Otherwise, unfortunately your controller might need repair. The following page

    Does the One controller need line of sight to the console to work?

    It's all a mystery how the controller works, I can tell you it's very good at disconnecting frequently and randomly.

    I have only had 1 controller that I had issues with pit of the 7 that I owned. It would disconnect randomly after I had it about 4 months. Turned out one of the solder joints was older across causing a short. Some of them have worn out from use. On my
    xbox in the back room it would randomly disconnect from any of controller. Had to move my xbox further from my TV and it fixed that issue. Think it was picking up interference from the tv. Problem stopped after that.
