    My controller shuts off and then i disconnect from xbox live.


    I have a fresh pair of AA bateries inserted into a microsoft xbox one controller that I purchased two weeks ago. It happens every once in a while in short bursts. For about a half an hour at a time the controller will turn off, and i will lose connection
    to xbox live for only a few seconds. This process will continue with intervals ranging from ten minutes to even seconds. I also have ran speed tests and can confirm that i have sufficient speeds to use xbox live services.

    Xbox one not functioning correctly

    My xbox has been having a issue all day. My controller won't connect to the Xbox or power the Xbox on. but once the Xbox is on and the controller finally connects it works for a minute and then the controller will disconnect and my Xbox will automatically
    disconnect me from Xbox live. Then it won't let me connect my controller again unless I power the Xbox off and back on again. And the same thing with Xbox lI've. It won't connect again unless I restart my Xbox. It'll only disconect me from Xbox live if my
    controller disconnects. If anyone knows a fix please let me know

    I've tried hard resetting and updating and the controller is charged. I don't understand why that every time my Xbox disconnects from live that my controller disconnects as well. For starters I don't even know why my live is disconnecting...

    Hey there Bobby Munkles!

    It sounds like you might have an issue with your wireless connection. To check, are there any other wireless devices in between your controller/Xbox One/router? If so, try moving your Xbox One to a more open area to see if that helps.

    It sounds like you might have an issue with your wireless connection. To check, are there any other wireless devices in between your controller/Xbox One/router? If so, try moving your Xbox One to a more open area to see if that helps.

    Freaking same thing is happening to me, it happens on every controller I have. I have updated both controllers and I think the problem is with the adapter. I have astro a-40s with the stereo headset adapter and it never fails if I'm in a party my controller
    will shut off randomly shuts off, I get disconnected from the party. My friends use the headset that came with the xbox and haven't had a problem

    Hi Basx3,

    The controller will need to be disconnected from the provided USB cable to allow the controller to turn off. Since you are on the PC, the controller does not have the same power menu the Xbox One does to manually shut off the controller.

    The USB cable is supplying power to the controller from your computer.

    This did not work, I also noticed that if I shut off the XBOX One X it disconnects this controller and I have to reconnect it on startup. This does not happen with my other controllers just the Elite series 2 one.. I'll request a replacement
