    I have repaired a couple of xbox one controllers, and this little guy is the most problematic of all, it has had every fault you can imagine, but this is the last one. And I haven't seen anything like this. When I connected my controller via wire sometimes doesn't turn on, and when it does, says it's wireless, so I cannot update it. It's not the USB port, it's not moving, and the solder joints are fine. The cable it's giving power and data perfectly, just sometimes this particular controller is not turning on. It is first generation. Do you know what can I do? You think it is about the software? I haven't found anything like this on internet and it's creeping my out.

    Using a headset with a wired controller

    So I have tried the method below on plugging in and out. No dice. I was able to update my wireless controller, but with the wired controller its not allowing me to update. Firmware version 1.1.279.2 is installed and it won't allow me to select the firmware
    box. In the instructiona it says it should automatically ask me to update when plugged into the USBs on the left side, but its not doing that either. I also noticed that when i select "buzz" it wont make the wired controller vibrate.

    The reason i purchased a wired controller was for price, because my wireless is getting a bit worn out. Is the next step to just get another wireless controller?

    Xbox wireless adapter for Windows - only one Xbox One Wireless Controller works

    I have a similar problem, when I connect my controllers trough the wireless adapter they are not working correctly because I have a Z axis and Z Rotation. WHen I used my controller wired with a USB cable I had this problem and I could fix roll back the drivers
    and the controller went back to the original X, Y, Z Axis, but now, with the Wireless adapter, I can't do that, because I doesn't let me update, because there's no Xbox Periphals to change the driver.

    I have 2 controllers. One that is wired, and I have separate controller that is wireless. When I plug in my wireless controller it doesn't turn on, and it makes my other wired controller which is plugged in turn off. The wired one works fine by itself. but
    once the wireless one is plugged in it doesnt work. What could be the problem?

    The controller does not connect wired or wireless. I had taken the controller with me into the kitchen and that’s when it disconnected and it will no longer connect so unable to update.

    Yes. As soon as the controller is in "wired" mode the headset works fine(audio in and out), But when in "wireless" mode "voice coming out of the headset" works but "voice coming into the headset" doesn't work. Maicrosofiti BR, did you say when you bought
    a new controller the wireless now works fine with the headset?
