My controller randomly disconnects from my Xbox Series S

I've had the controller for probably less than a year and probably close to ever 2-3 minutes it disconnects from the Xbox. The controller stays on, but it's almost like it stops sending its signal to the console. There is no interference whatsoever, the console is less than 2 feet away from where I sit with the controller. The only way I've found to fix this is to take the batteries out, put them, back in, click confirm on the screen, then I can play again. This gets extremally frustrating especially in multiplayer games when I am in a very competitive situation and it just turns off which leads to getting me killed. I purchased a wireless controller for a reason and I really don't want to have to plug in a USB-C cable to the top of my controller just to have a little bit of fun on my Xbox. Is there a way to fix this with a controller or console software update?

Same problem here.. Xb1 S controller randomly disconnects, original xbox one controller has no issues with xb1 S console...

I am using the original xbox one model

Yes the controller will randomly disconnect by itself. It also turned off when I plugged in one of my headsets.

The controller I mentioned is the normal xbox series controller.

Yes I updated the controller and the problem still continues.

Xbox Series S controller freezes and disconnects but the light on the controller stays on,
The problem happened to me a lot and the batteries are new, and i did power cycle, The device and the control were updated
