    my controller isn't staying on longer than 4 seconds, even with a full battery


    more or less what the title says, ive made sure its updated, controller is fully charged, but for some reason its not staying on longer than 4 seconds, even when wired directly to the xbox using a USB cable its still iffy if its gonna stay on or not, it
    was working yesterday, but now its not any ideas on how to fix it?

    Sound like the battery has stopped working so like everyone has said best get a new one as mine did that not long ago after many times recharging they never last

    Yeah that does sound like the battery has reach the end of the shelf life, Each rechargeable battery has a limit of how much they charge. Please replace them and see how you go from there :D

    Is it a name brand, Microsoft, Xbox controller? Some of the other controllers have trouble staying connected

    Have you tried updating the controller firmware?

    I'd try swapping in new batteries to check if it's the controller or the batteries. If that doesn't work, you may need to clean the contacts on the controller or battery.
