    Controller Analogue Stick Issue

    My problem is my Xbox 360 wireless controller, everytime I move the controller up , it either moves slowly or stops. has anyone experienced this issue? it's irritating. I Bought my 360 around september 2011.

    Browsing always moves by 2

    Just started happening. When browsing selections, it always moves 2 spots. Up, down, left, right, doesn't matter. Rapidly going left to right will fix it, but only for a second or two. Also it will randomly move around and eventually move all the way
    to the top, even when not touching the controller. And no, it's not the controller.

    Anyone experiencing this?

    Really sorry to hear you're experiencing this drifting issue. I'm afraid for this particular issue your best option is to Replace or Replace the controller. If your controller is still under warranty you can set up a replacement over on our
    Online Service Center. If your controller is no longer under warranty than I'm afraid purchasing a replacement is going to be your best next option.

    Hi there Dancan,

    Are you making sure that when you turn the controller on it's not pressing anything or the sticks are shifted?

    If that drift is just happening on the one controller, I'm sorry to say but it sounds like it may be on its way out.

    I would recommend getting a new controller, if it is within the 90 day accessory warranty you can

    send the controller in for a repair    .

    ? mine always works, u tap the left trigger while not moving sometimes my controller messes up and thinks im moving left probably the same for you

    Do you by chance have a second controller signed in, that is pushing up?

    On the main Xbox menus, multiple controllers are "fighting" over the control of the dashboard, and every controller can move the cursor.

    When you start a game, each controller is assigned to a specific player, and only that player is controlled. So if a second controller is always pushing up, it won't affect control in a game of the first controller anymore.

    I am having issues with my wireless 360 controllers on my PC. Despite the fact that I am not moving the D-Pad (i.e. Left Stick) the controller is always off center. I can no longer use it for most games since it believes to always be moving in a certain
    direction. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver multiple times and even tried other 360 wireless controllers. Nothing is working. Does Microsoft even support this anymore or are they pushing to use XBox One controllers?
