    My controller has turned into a vibrator


    Idk what happened but I took a trip with my 2 controllers in a somewhat full backpack and when I arrived one of them just refused to come on anymore. It doesn't show any lights or work in any games. Just vibrates fulltime. I'd appreciate any thoughts or ideas anyone has.

    P.s it's a wired Xbox 360 controller I use on my laptop

    Edit: it doesn't show up in device manager and the problem persists on other pcs I've tried

    Update: Turns out vibration is turned ON for my system, but the controllers don't vibrate.

    So I guess the issue is really that when any controller is connected to my system, when it's supposed to vibrate, it turns off.

    I see. Probably, is a hardware issue on that 360 controller indeed.

    I have 2 others that were in that backpack and still work. Although 1 is quite old and is barely functional.
