my controller has a problem

I got a new xbox one series x/s controller to play on my computer. Im playing a game e.g. Rocket League, and in while im playing, the xbox logo flashes and the controller stops working for a few seconds.

Somtimes the controller just stops working without reason, one minute im playing and then it just stops working. ive never had a console or controller so i need heklp

Hi Liam,

Thanks for coming to the forums. If you are in a game, does the action move forward also? If so, this is called stick drift. It is the most common thing that happens to controllers. Personally every controller I owned eventually gets this in one direction.
If you have owned it less than 90 days you can set up a repair. If older than that best thing would be to replace the controller, as this will not go away.

I used this video some time before to repair my controller and it worked! Just make sure to not use too much alcohol
