    Are you using the Slim console? What size hard drive is it? Was the hard drive purchased brand new from a retailer or was it purchased used or from a thirdy party like ebay?

    Original Xbox games require an official MS brand hard drive in order to run. If the hard drive is not official, then that could be the issue.
