My Console Sometimes Scratch the game discs

Has the title says i have problems with my Xbox 360's disc reader sometimes when it reads a disc it creates little scratches (that cannot be seen without being under a light) but i'm worried because i love Mass Effect (i bought the trilogy) i would like
to play it even years after finishing it but if it keeps getting scratched i'm worried i would not be able to even play it at one point please tell me if this is normal, if it makes any significant damage to the disc, and if it actually does damage tell me
what to do to fix it. Please

My console keeps freezing/disconnecting.

My console is in the open and none of my discs have scratches.

And i may of forgotten to mention that the problem occurs with all my games.

Xbox scratching discs

Hello everyone i have been experiencing problems with my xbox one console. It seems as if my discs are being scratched on my xbox one. After playing for some time, i see light scratches on my discs, they dont look that bad, but there are still scratches.
Is this normal for my discs to get scratched, please help.

Hey there EzrealNova.

Be sure not to move your Xbox 360 while it's powered on and a disc is in it, this can cause damage to the console and disc such as what you describe.

SINCE YOU STAND IT UPRIGHT IT MORE LIKELY TO SCRATCH YOUR DISC WHEN YOU PLAYING THE GAME AND YOU JUMP UP OR SHACK THE TABLE ITS ON IT WILL SHAKE THE CONSOLE AND SOMETIMES IT BUTS SCRATCHES ON THEM I SUGGEST LAYING THE CONSOLE DOWN

Also I've been leaving my disc inside the console the whole time and nothing happens to it, sometimes I check if it has any scratches after but no, nothing.

By cleaning it, Have you tried cleaning the disc and/or checking the disc for scratches?

Sometimes when you purchase pre-ordered games, it can take a while for the scratches/smudges to take effect in your console. I recommend checking the game thoroughly.

Also, If at all possible, Check your console for dust, If dust gets into the fan it can reduce your performance, I had this with mine a while back.

See if there are any scratches on the disc if yes clean the disk with a dry cloth sometimes scratches may cause many problems
