My console keeps shutting off...

For the last few months now, since I first got my Xbox One S, I have had no less than 40 instances of my console shutting down unexpectedly, in the middle of playing a game (both single and multiplayer). This issue has been ongoing since I first got my console
back in October but has become more and more prevalent over the last week. It has escalated to the extent that this afternoon this post went up It shut off four times and all of them were within less than 10 minutes of turning on the console. The console is
a One S and I am looking to see if there is a way to rectify the issue, as this only ever happened four times over the three years I had my original Xbox One. If anyone here in the forums has experienced this and found a way to solve this problem I'd be glad
to hear it! Right now I am only becoming more frustrated by this and I am considering getting rid of the console entirely if I can't get it to work continuously as it should.

I dont know if they still sell them, but there is a cooling unit you can buy that sits under the Xbox.

 

I'm thinking you are about 35 instances too late on doing what I would have done since your issue hasn't been experienced by me... which is either demand a refund or get it replaced... since that makes sense.

Some people would have just taken it back and switched console brands.

I have this same issue. In the middle of a game or show, it just shuts off.
