My concern with the Xbox Game Exclusivity situation

I wish this message could be passed along to Phil Spencer. I've been an Xbox fan since 2000, owning every single Xbox system since!

What I feel Microsoft needs to do better is follow through with some of the games, and create franchises out of what is released. Dating back to the original Xbox, MS has had this history of releasing a bunch of 1 off games and never creating a follow up.
Now I understand MS is always concerned about the financials and the bottom line and saying to themselves, "Okay... we're going to release this game and give it a shot".

So they release the game and it might be a low to moderate success, but what about the commitment? Why not fund Alan Wake 2 and other spin offs? Sunset Overdrive 2? 3? Why not use Rare to a greater potential? Oddworld? Blinx? Mechassault 2? Jade Empire 2?
Crimson Skies?

I just get this feeling that Microsoft lacks the commitment to stick to games that could turn into great franchises with a lasting appeal. MS lacks the follow through, and they should expand their franchises beyond the typical Halo,
Gears, Forza grind. I feel MS is playing it too safe.

What happened to ONLY ON XBOX? Why not Quantum Break 2 ONLY ON XBOX? RYSE 2 ONLY On XBOX?!

This is the commitment people want to see from Microsoft to the build franchises over the long term for the Xbox platform!

Microsoft, it's not the price that is the problem......

I'm not talking about game exclusivity, I'm talking about advertising exclusivity rights.

It is always business. Who gives more to developers. Who gives more creativity to its own studios. Sony or Microsoft. Lot's of games are only time exclusive but look at the situation this way: Sony investing lot's of money in exclusives. There is a reason
why. Without that, Xbox with a game pass, rewards and cloud in future would be crashing it. There is only one question. Why Microsoft is not responding? Leadership. With Phill, the situation is turning around. Because, in the long run, he will be dominant
on all platforms and Sony will change their game.

I can say with dead accuracy that disks do not go bad when you leave it in your console, and in my experiences the consoles do not either. I have left an Pro Xbox on for 8 days straight; and I tend to leave my xbox on with a game on.

In response to your main concern, I've never had it happen before to myself and have never heard it happen to anyone else. Possibly it was a faulty disk from the day it left the factory and was just a matter of time.

If your XBOX was overheating you'd be getting 2 red rings. So it doesnt seem that your XBOX is doing that or else you would've mentioned it. I've left games in my console all the time and have had no issue. My XBOX has had no issue (knock on wood lol) but
seems like to me that it could've just been the game was faulty.
