    My computer keeps showing a BSOD (irql_not_less_equal, pfn_list_corrupt). How do I fix it?


    So I recently upgraded some parts on my PC and the most recent upgrade has been the memory. I swapped some very old RAM sticks (8GB) with newer ones (32 GB). These RAM sticks are the same manufacturer and product line, just different amounts of memory.

    I am on windows 10, and since installing the 32GB RAM sticks I have been getting more crashes and BSODs (the first being pfn_list_corrupt). I did everything you are supposed to do during a RAM swap including going into BIOS to change my RAM limits. Since the consistent crashes and BSODs, I have decided to swap back to my old RAM temporarily in hopes that the sticks I got were simply damaged. After swapping the sticks out for the old ones I got the newest BSOD (irql_not_less_equal). This BSOD has not shown up before, including before my PC upgrades.

    Can anyone help me?

    BSOD When installing Xbox App games

    Im getting this issue too with Tunic today. I've tested my RAM, tested my HDD, and everything is fine, even uninstalled any virus protection.

    When I boot the computer with the ethernet cable connected it tries to finish the install of Tunic and it immediately goes to the BSOD. If I remove the ethernet cable and then boot my computer it works perfectly fine, so im sure something is triggering this when the download is being pushed from the store. The problem here is I can't get to the Xbox App fast enough to try and stop the install of Tunic, cause it goes to the BSOD then restarts the PC smh.

    I don't even want the game now, I just want my computer to stop doing this.
    I’m having the same issue and I have to keep doing system restore. If I try to update any game or install Halo Infinite, it bsod’s me and will keep doing a bsod until I do a system restore.

    I follwed the link that you provided but the error code that BSOD is showing isn't there. Again it says that the error is Kernel_Mode_Heap_corruption

    The BSOD error is nothing to do with the game, is with the computer. You need to access the manufacturer video card driver. Try look in their forums or post there.
