"My Color" Shade Changes

I booted up my Xbox today and noticed that the tiles were a lighter shade than they were previously. I have the "My Color" in the settings menu set to purple. At first I wasn't sure if the shade changed or if it was my imagination. Only after somehow getting
the "My Color" back to the darker purple like I remember. Too bad the fix was temporary as it reset back to the lighter shade of purple. I was wondering if anybody else has noticed a change in "My Color" shades, specifically purple, so I can figure out if
it is a personal issue or just a change by Microsoft on the back end of things.

Well the new shade is my favorite shade of green but if I had to pick a different color I'd choose grey.

 

ive had the exact same problem with the purple i thought it was the tv settings or my tv breaking but you seem to be having the same problem so it must be the xbox itself

 

im having the same problem my dark blue turn into light blue its really weird.

 

Same issue with blue as well, its strange sometimes its fine but sometimes its not.

 

Im having this issue as well. Its been going on for about a week or two now, never experienced it before then.

The color scheme i select in the settings will randomly change to a different shade of the same color. When i try to change it back in the settings, i am not able to change the color setting at all. If i hard reset my xbox, it will revert it back to the
original color i had selected. However after a short amount of time, i will experience the same issue again and am always having to hard reset my xbox one to fix this "glitch". Any information would be appreciated, thanks!

 

I'm having the same problem, My notifications turn from light green to dark green by itself and also the tiles on the dashboard do the same thing, This has started before i got the New Xbox One Experience and a hard reset will not fix it.

if you visit settings by scrolling to the left and selecting All Settings from the bottom can you check under Ease of Access and verify if you have High contrast enabled on your console? That would explain why you're seeing color changes.

 

It has nothing to do with high contrast. After the update, the purple option in the My Colors section in the settings has actually changed from the dark purple I prefer to the light purple that I have been seeing all month long. This indicates that it was
Microsoft's doing, whether intentional or not is the question. I only say this, because the the tiles still go back and forth between light and dark two weeks after the new dashboard update.

I wish Microsoft would have have just added the "new" shades in My Color as new colors entirely instead of being stuck in between the two shades. It would be nice to hear some official word from Microsoft about the issue instead of speculating why this is
happening and a reason for the change (if the changes in shade are an intentional change by Microsoft).

Actually, it could have everythign to do with high contrast. Did you try the setting suggested above? As that is the suggested fix by MS. Below is the link

I did try the high contrast setting. By turning it on, it removed my background and made the tile colors to a really bright light blue. Toggling the high contrast setting may help in the case that a person's Preferences settings are not displayed, but it
doesn't fix the shade issue. All of my preferences are displayed.

The purple displayed in the Preferences menu DID change to the light purple. This indicates, whether intentionally or unintentionally, that some of the colors have indeed changed, most likely due to the dashboard update. However, no shade changes are present
in any of the update notes, so these changes are either a glitch, a mistake, or deemed not important enough to list in the update notes.

Unless we get some sort of confirmation from Microsoft, the only thing we can do is speculate and futilely troubleshoot.

 

I think the last update fixed this problem, But now my notifications and tiles on the dashboard are dark green instead of light green, This is the way its suppose to be, Here is a link
