    Need help redeeming my xbox live code

    I tried redeeming the code in my browser on my computer using these instructions, big mistake. It said "thank you, you redeemed your code" and then exited me out. No gamertag registration whatsoever. I thought the whole point of redeeming my code was to create a gamer tag, but no just exits me out. I then tried redeeming my code on my xbox (so that I could create the gamer tag) and it said "sorry, code already redeemed."

    so what the... what do I do now?

    Remeeming errors are usually caused by issues on the account itself. Be sure to check your billing information at
    http://billing.microsoft.com and after that try redeeming the code on both xbox console and via xbox.com/redeemcode

    If it is still not working properly please use
    http://support.xbox.com/error-code-lookup     to search for any steps regarding the errorcode you are receiving. If nothing is found then specify the full actual error message (and errorcode) you are receiving when trying to redeem the prepaid code they can
    help to determine a possible cause.

    be aware that some codes may have a expiration date so please check if it mentions anything about that.

    can not use my 15$ code

    Codes purchased from unauthorized third-party retailers, which by all indications is where you got it, are not allowed to be used on the service and is a violation of terms of service. You were also not allowed to change your region to use them.

    Both of these can lead to account and hardware Bans
