My child's Minecraft settings

I am having problems with the settings for my child's account. I had somehow changed those settings, but I can't find those settings. My child could not play with her friends on Minecraft, and so I am trying to change that. I want her able to add friends
in Minecraft, but so far she can't. Please tell me how to fix this.

Where will I find the system settings? My child plays Minecraft on her Kindle, and so that is what I am trying to fix.

Yes. Every time her friends are on, she will click on the friends icon, but there are no friends showing. Even when they were on the same network.

she would click the "Add Friends" button, but all it would say was "Go to aka.ms/accountsettings to change the settings."

Hello, if your child is playing on her kindle you might have to go to there help page for the answers. It sounds ,like others have said, that you changed the privacy settings on your device. There are no settings in minecraft itself to turn on/off multiplayer
so its definitely a device setting. Also are you sure the device is connected to the internet?

It sounds like you changed the privacy settings on the account

all you have to do is follow these steps, (I will highlight the tab names with bold text)

1. go to the system settings

2. select the account tab

3. Under Privacy & online safety, select Xbox Live privacy.

4. here you can choose a default setting or create your own custom settings (by selecting View details & customize)
