My child is set up in Microsoft Family with no problems, but does not show up under xbox

My children are all set up in Microsoft Family with no problems. Two of them show up under xbox privacy and safety settings, but the third (set up at the same time and in the same way) doesn't. So it is not possible to alter his settings: it can't be done
on his account as it says it needs to be done on the parent's account. But he doesn't show on the parents' accounts so it can't be done there either. This means there are many games he can't play. How can we get him to appear on the settings page?

    :)

  2. how to add child to xbox live without a console so that minecraft realms work?

We're trying to use Minecraft PE to connect to a realm. The child account was created from Minecraft PE on iOS, the account appears under the parent Microsoft account family, but does not appear under the Parent Xbox Live family.

The child was successfully invited to a realm created by the parent, but when the child tries to connect, gets the message "You cannot play on Realms because of how your Xbox Live account is set up. This can be changed in your privacy & online safety settings
    on Xbox.com".

However, the child can't change those settings, the parent needs to, but the parent can only change them from the Xbox account view (where, in this case, the child does not show up).

We do not have an Xbox console. We just want to play MInecraft with family and friends on a realm.

Microsoft support says there's no way to add the child without an Xbox console. I wonder why Minecraft PE walked us through creating a child account in the first place?

  3. Child account not showing on Xbox privacy and online safety page

Hi, my Son's Xbox account does not show up as part of my family on the Xbox privacy and online safety page. I don't know why not, as my daughter's account does and as far as I know I set the accounts up the same.

All my children show up as part of my Microsoft family, just not Xbox family. Any suggestions?

Changing a child account to adult

Did account "A" remove account "B" from THEIR Family settings at Microsoft.com under the account settings? My brother had the same problem. He is 18 and under my family settings, he is under a "child account" because initially he was under 18. I had to remove
him and add him again as an adult. When choosing to add a family member it asks if its a "child" or "adult". THE FAMILY settings does not take into consideration the age of the account holder, but how you categorize it under the Family settings. That will
affect all online aspects regardless if the account holder is of adult age. The only remedy is for the original adult, in your case, Adult "A" has to completely remove "Account B". I find it strange you removed yourself, since child accounts don't have an
option to do so on the family settings on Microsoft.com. This cannot be done on an Xbox console unless you're using the Edge Browser, not under the console's own Family Settings.

In my case I added my brother again, chose adult, and now his ms/xbox account is listed as an Adult. He can now play Fortnite and buy Game Pass subscription without asking for permission or being blocked access. In your case your
now adult account can be removed again so you and Person "A" are not considered a family under Microsoft's family settings. This does not affect if you're game sharing and setting up a different Home Console for Xbox One.

    Hope this helps.

    Help with Account Clean-up

    Hi Yezzmina,

    .

Thank you for the thoughtful reply. My account most definitely uses the Outlook.com address. I did a "change Microsoft account" back when I first set this up. Just to be sure, I verified it on my console. So, I only have 1 Microsoft account, which uses
the Outlook.com address. The Yahoo.com address does not appear anywhere under any account settings, including the Xbox console itself and the account.live.com. I even tried the forgot password link with my Yahoo.com email and it said the account doesn't
exist. So, the Yahoo.com email address should not exist anywhere, except maybe in the history of my account as it was originally set up with that.

    .

Regarding the child account, I already have family passcode set up. The child account in question has a 2008 birth date, so it is definitely a child account. I set all 3 of them up at the same time, but when I go to Settings --> Family, only 2 of the 3
show up there. The 3rd is definitely linked b/c it requires my 4 digit passcode, but does not show up as a child on my account. So, there's something wrong with the linkage somewhere.

    .

Again, I really appreciate you reading through my long-winded message and replying to each point. Unfortunately, I really think I need someone from support who can see how things are set up behind the scenes to help fix all of this.

    .

    Thanks,

    Jeff

Xbox one gamer tag transfer to my child's account?

    thanks for your response!

Unfortunately, the gamertag was set up under my Microsoft account. I originally set up a child Microsoft account for him, but didn't realize that the gamertag he has been using has been linked to mine... and I never set up xbox under his child account;(

    no microphone on child account

    Some additional information:

    - this is not a hardware problem. The microphone works fine on the parents account

    - I created a new child account and gave it exactly the same permissions as the child account that does not work.

The microphone works fine on the newly created child account.

The party feedback showing that microphone works shows up for an instant when switching to the account that does not work.

I tried resetting all family settings for the account that does not work, but that did not make a difference.

Convertir un compte adulte XBOX en compte enfant ?[Convert an XBOX adult account to a child account?]

    Hi crseldg,

Thanks for your post. I understand you are experiencing an issue with your child's Microsoft account. Adult accounts can be added to a Family and restricted to child permissions under said family. To set up a Microsoft Account Family, check out this article:
