    My child can't play online all of a sudden


    I have a son (13 years old) who received an Xbox One X a couple of weeks ago and all of a sudden today he can't play online. Halo Infinite, Minecraft, Stardew Valley, can't connect online. He's got an Xbox Live Gold subscription and Xbox Game Pass for Console.

    On my parent account I've lifted the age restrictions on his account and triple checked the Xbox Settings for online security (everything is on allowed), still he can't play with his friends.

    It was working up until today. Anyone who can help?

    Would you please double check your son's privacy settings just to be sure? Please make sure all the settings related to multiplayer, parties, clubs and play with people outside of Xbox Live are set to "Allow" or "Everyone" on the "Privacy" and "Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One & Windows 10 Online Security " tabs.

    If all the privacy settings are correctly set, please power reset your console and modem/router to clear its cache:

    1​​. Turn off your console and your router/modem.
    2. Unplug all the cables from both devices (power, HDMI, etc..) and wait 2 minutes.
    3. After 2 minutes, plug all the cables in again on your router/modem and wait for all the lights to show up.
    ​​​4. Plug all the cables on your console and turn it on.

    See if the issue persists and please let me know.

    We just found out he can play Gang Beast online with a friend. The other three examples though, can't connect or "offline".

    You must have an active network connection to play xbox live matches

    this has to be a problem on either the developers or microsofts end and they need to get on it and get it back to how it was on release for 3 days i haven't been able to play anything online when it worked flawlessly for the first 2 weeks of release and

    i'm a sixteen year old with the same *** problem mate! I have removed all restriction settings to adult as well and can not play matchmaking! I used to play it all the time and now all of a sudden I got new live and I can't go online!
