Just because he has no 360 titles does not mean anything. You dont have to have something for 2 + years to be loyal.

 

At axon I've had 360 since day one but when I bought a xbox one I wanted a new profile could op not have done this

 

I just don't understand this loyalty thing people are going through? The "I have been with MS since I was born and they owe me now"....?

There is no loyalty in business. Simple as that. It's called being a satisfied (or at the least, satisfied enough in some cases) customer. As customers, people are either satisfied
enough with a product that they will buy the next iteration of it, or they aren't.

Nobody... or at least very few people I've ever met, would buy a product, find out they aren't happy with it and then still buy the next one when it comes out, in hopes that it's
better. That's just silly and says 'more money than brains' to me. Whether people are happy enough to want the next product offering or not is customer satisfaction... no more, no less. Loyalty has nothing (sensibly) to do with it.

If someone said "I have been a satisfied customer since... but not anymore.", then it's easy enough to just advise them to cut their losses, walk away and go elsewhere. Or file
a complaint properly and move on. It makes their situation easy to apply a 'cut and dried' solution to.

However, if they use the word loyalty, there is that aura of reciprocation that it implies. Even the
part of your statement that's in quotations alludes to it. Makes it a lot easier to imply (or straight out demand, in some cases) they should be compensated. Falls along the lines of 'entitlement'.

At least that's how I see it. Those who want loyalty can get a dog... or a spouse. That doesn't always
work out the best for either party either...

fyerball 72 on this, but then I think most of the people in the ambassador's program are ... well, we'll save that word for another day. lol

 

Loyalty? Please... It's a phrase that shouldn't even exist! Everyone, and I do mean everyone, has their own agenda for... Wait for it...

Just to be "on topic"; I have no loyalty to products, just preferences...and those change. Lol.

 

Off Topic a might: As an outside observer here (Don't, and will not be owning Next Gen consoles anytime soon) I have to conclude from my own experience and observation that. Brand Loyalty exists within the mentality of everyone, whether they want to admit
it or not.

Example: Growing up I loved Mopars, but can't stand the New models of any automaker, including Chrysler. - Same goes for these Next Gen Consoles. It would take more than 4 + walls of text to explain why.

Back to topic: OP/ or anyone who wants to chime in.

Do you suspect, as I do. Aside from hardware failures, that the vast majority of problems people are having This Gen is because of 10's - 100's of GB of software/updates are centering more on forcing the X1 hardware into being an "all in one entertainment"
- Or more precisely put. A Digital Rights Management (net neutrality, sopa, cispa, etc IN YOUR FACE regulation/taxation) machine?

^If so then I wouldn't blame the X1 for being problematic. After all, like the magicians hat, it, and the policies that govern it's operations was put in place before the Goberment started publicly attempting to pull it's Citizens Rabbits out of it.

SEEM to be ok so far in my book, which is a very confusing book indeed to most people here. On a side note, getting slapped in the face by me is considered pretty freakin' awesome by those who want a lil pain with their pleasure.

Fair enough OP if you are unsatisfied it is probably best to sell your console and move on.

 

Well Microsoft do make Windows as well so they have always had a interest in PC. Personally I think they are heading in the right direction and look forward to Windows 10 and what is in store for Xbox.

 

I totally agree with the OP, I've stuck with microsoft for 11yrs but the xbox one console is just rubbish. I have four in my household & two of them have been sent to Frankfurt 5 times between them due to wifi hardware failures, not powering up, wont read
game discs etc. etc. Each time they are returned it states they have been repaired but the original problem is back within hours of being turned on. It got to the point where micro$oft sent me two replacement xbox's one of which broke within a week so i've
now had enough & unfortunately will be going to the darkside.

 

^ This...... "I've stuck with MS for 11 years"..... the mindset that there is an actual relationship built between the consumer and the manufacturer and that the threat of leaving (all with similar reasons) will help heal the relationship.... I don't
get it.
