My chance to vent

I have played Xbox since the original xbox one. I have seen the various consoles and Xbox Live change and grow. I have bought countless accessories and products and have always spoken positively about my Xbox experiences. I have always preferred Xbox over
PS4 even with the cost of Xbox Live. Since I have been so loyal and have put so much of my time and money towards supporting Xbox and Microsoft I think I have the right to speak my mind. I have been patient with Microsoft. I stuck with them through all their
BS. I put up with Microsoft points, insane prices for crap products (360 console with 4GB storage), ridiculously long download times, and the fact that Microsoft changes things that should be left the same and keeps things that should be changed. But It's
time for me to let some of my frustration out.

The Xbox One has a ridiculous amount of flaws for a product that has been out for over a year. The thing it seems to do best is read minds. But not in the way that you'd like. In my experience the console knows what I want to do and thats the one thing that
it's not going to let me do at that time. If I want to start a party to talk and play with my friends, it fails to start/join a party or won't pick up the mic. If I recorded an awesome clip with the Game DVR the day before (and have watched it a few times
bc I'm awesome and want to remind myself of my mad skills) and now its time to share it with my friends one of three things will happen; either upload studio won't work, the audio is gone from my clip, or the clip that I SAVED is gone. The app I want is never
in the 5 last used and I have to go through hell to find it and when I do find the app I want to use it's going to take a few minutes to open. God forbid that I see what achievements I have or what my clips my friends have uploaded. The Xbox Button doesn't
always do what I want it to do. If I hold it down to turn my console or controller off it will mistake it for wanting to go to the dashboard and vise versa.

But all those issues (and so many more) are left alone. Completely ignored by Microsoft because instead of making quality products that are thoroughly enjoyable and long lasting, they focus on bringing Xbox Live to PCs. Bc that makes sense. They take a product
that is crap and instead of making it work properly they just make it available on more platforms... Yeah, that'll distract the consumers from your massive failure.

So I'd recommend turning your console off this instant and selling it while its worth something. Ohh but if you're waiting for it to properly turn off you're going to be there for a while. Grab some popcorn and just watch that stupid light flash on and off
for 5 minutes. It's not even going to let you turn it off bc it knows it's about to get sold.

Don't put up with this crap any longer. Sell your Xbox and put that money towards a gaming PC or some other console that isn't as crappy.

I feel better. Good luck to all you other Xbox users. Seriously think about your experience with Xbox One and ask yourself if it's worth the money, frustration, and time to keep the console. As for me, I can't take it anymore so I'm out.

Noisy Slim PSU.

Try hoovering the vents, chances are its just a build up of dust.

I would get Dark Souls but i killed all the kittens in my home town whilst playing Ninja Gaiden II, so without anything to vent my anger on i might divide by Zero so i will not take the chance...

 

My Xbox doesn't do any of the above have you talked to Xbox support about any of the issues you are having ?

 

First off sorry to hear about your bad experience with Xbox One but not wanting to go around in circles again as there's been similar posts recently, in reply to your ...

I've had a great experience since launch, sure I've had a few hiccups a long the way but overall there's been a lot more positives than negatives.

Anyway, I would suggest posting your thread in the feedback section but as you said you can't take it anymore and your out, all I can say is good luck and hope you find a better experience elsewhere!

Sold my xbox one yesterday had been getting on my nerves traded it in and got another next console feel better already now my white xbox matchs my tv and white ps3 and 360

I hate the Windows 8 UI fact many people don't like the Windows 8 UI, the UI isn't really youth friendly compared to the 360 UI, party and loading friends list issues, at Launch they left out tonnes of features which Xbox 360 has (now though, they've brought
most of them back).

I think it's worth the money to keep my Xbox 1 console. My HP Pavilion dv6 and Xbox 360 slim console can't play Blu-ray discs only DVD's. Xbox 1 has games and features I like and games made on Xbox 1 look better than their Xbox 360 counterparts. I love Xbox
1's Kinect and the things I can do including Zoo Tycoon and Kinect Sports Rivals and Voice Commands and use it for chat without saying "my mic broke, I lost my mic, my batteries for my mic are charging" something I've heard many of my friends say, can use
it to even sign in to my console securely without needing to enter a password/pin. Minecraft Xbox 1 Edition performs better than the Xbox 360 edition by far, worlds up to 36x bigger which load and save quicker than the 360 version. 360 version of Zoo Tycoon
has no Kinect features no multiplayer and smaller zoos compared to Xbox 1 version, due to Xbox 360 hardware limitations. There is more detail in objects and the water in Screamride Xbox 1 edition than the 360 version and I have Screamride for both Xbox 360
and Xbox 1. I got it for Xbox 360 because it still looks good and it's a game I really like and since 80% of my friends don't have an Xbox 1. Microsoft still has work they need to do to improve the OS/UI. I still think the OS still overemphasizes on Windows
8 instead of trying focus on being an Xbox OS like Xbox 360's Dashboard OS. I put the blame on Party Issues and Loading friends list issues on this. If Xbox 360's OS can load friends list and have an unadulterated Party Chat experience, and friendly user UI,
then theres no reason why a console with 8GB RAM (not 512MB RAM) can't do it too. Things should improve overtime though, as Xbox 1 has made many improvements compared to what it was like when I got it Day 1 when I called it a hunk of Windows 8 VCR when it
took 30-45 seconds just to load every single thing, friends... achievements.... avatar app.... messages... They have improved the software now it only takes me 2-9 seconds to load friends/messages/achievements. And no it isn't an ISP issue, because even my
Xbox 360 console only takes a few seconds to load these. It's the way they make the software on Xbox 1. Xbox 1 did kind of get off to a rough start. To proof how rough, they had to do TWO Policy Reversals (involving Kinect and DMR or something) and they created
an official Xbox feedback site which Microsoft visits. This forum section on this site is like the most active on this site.

Despite being a wall of text, I actually read it. While I'm glad you feel better after venting, InjuringTea, I just wanted to say 1 thing about the above portion of your post - do NOT assume that we are all going through the exact same thing you are, because
we're not, and do NOT presume that you can even begin to tell us or even recommend telling us to sell something that most of us happen to enjoy simply because YOU are having a bad experience.

Think about it like this - I have a car that happens to be the exact same car you have (make, model, etc.). My car is a mess and is falling apart, but I tell you that you should sell your car even though your car runs just fine without any issues whatsoever.
Do you see where I'm going with this?

If you don't like the issues with the console, actually do something about it (and I'm not talking about selling it either - that's just giving up). If you want to vent, fine, but do so by venting to the people that can actually help you or make a difference
(such as the developers), not by telling other consumers what they themselves should do - they already know what to do.

My console IS worth something, and it's not measured in dollars. It's measured in FUN.

 

I just don't understand this loyalty thing people are going through? The "I have been with MS since I was born and they owe me now"....?

i call BS on this post first of all his history with xbox only started in november last year he has no 360 titles to his name, if he was so loyal he would have used his profile from the 360, the OP talks about accessories and products with no proof of this,
i dont believe the majority of the crap thats come out of his mouth, that been said he has played halo,cod,unity,worms and a few other titles maybe he has had problems with the xbox one console and has a right to voice his concern and opinion but dont presume
to tell me what i should or should not do with my console, you do not have the right to tell me what to do!!!!

slapped them in the face somehow. I guess clowns will always be attracted to a circus.

 

I've thought a lot about my experience with my X1, and none of it is frustrating, maybe I'm just getting old and don't sweat the little things anymore, X1 was really rough at launch, but has been smooth sailing for me for months now, and getting better every
month.

If mine broke right now, I'd going out and buy a new one with a Kinect without needing to debate it.
