    Hi all,

    I bought a new laptop with which I got 3 months free game pass. It required me to input my card details in order to claim.

    None of my card details were accepted. I tried around 4 different debit cards.

    Upon looking into the support for Xbox, I had a chat with an agent who informed me that my account was under investigation due to some flags being raised against my account.

    Since then I have not got any information about my account or the investigation and I have not gotten any option to talk to an agent since then.

    Whom should I be talking to regarding this?

    If your account is under investigation you may need to ask for a followup directly to Microsoft Support, here in the forums no one can view / modify or share account details due to privacy and security policies

    Going back to the topic (3 months of free game pass) you used your current account to subscribe to game pass in the past?
    I ask this due to usually those offers are only for new subscribers.

    The best option in those cases are redeem the subscription in a different account or ask to the laptop brand a redeemable code instead.

    September 9th here and still waiting.

    It appears though that if the company deems your complaints damaging enough, they let you jump the line, as has been demonstrated in a few scenarios. So I've heard some people have gotten their issues rectified in as little as 4-5 days. These people though
    were prominent vloggers in the video game community, so obviously Xbox doesn't want them spreading to much bad press.

    All I can tell you, is that you can hope to get quick service, but most likely you are going to be waiting a while. Especially if an account migration was involved.

    Also, still haven't received an email saying the investigation was started, but called support minutes ago and the nice lady told me the investigations team had control of it. No 30-day trial, no conformation. Love this system (sarcasm!). Account has been
    locked, but no notes have been posted to the investigation report, which confirms my above statement that i guarantee you no one from xbox has done anything with my account since they suspended it. Locked it up before they started doing anything to it.

    This is quite a joke. How long could it possibly take to review this? I'm in the same boat as all of you (with the FIFA crap), called to support, had an investigation started. I could still play games on live for a couple of days before getting that "payment
    method" error. I can still play offline, but Battlefield comes out next Tuesday, and I preordered it back in February with the intent of playing it that day. Cross-check a console ID and serial number to realize it wasn't me that purchased the content and
    give me my account back. At the very least, don't suspend my account until you're actually doing the investigation. It shouldn't take more than 1 day to do the investigation. I guarantee you no one from xbox has done anyting with my account since it got suspended.

    Hey Mister Gwyther. Yes I started the UA investigation on October 5th (for this gamertag), regained control of my account, recovered my gamertag, changed the password to something ridiculously difficult, canceled my subscription, removed the payment methods
    from the account. I have yet to hear anything from the investigations team. My SR number is at home so I don't have that.
