My broken xbox one

Ok firstly I have to say I think Xbox One is an awesome console also I have to mention that the xbox service team were very good and helpful. But I'm really not happy at all! I saved up my pennies and got Xbox One on launch day, since then I've bought about
30 games, over all I've spent about £2500 on Xbox One and I absolutely love it, the whole experience is brilliant to me, twitch, game clips, voice recognition that works well, snap apps, one guide...i could go on...evertything....awesome. But now I'm gutted
beyond belief, my disc drive has stopped working, won't read discs and grinds so now i have to send it away for repair. 14-21 days I have to wait now with no Xbox, no raids on destiny (which we run everyday), no more chatting with my friend, gonna miss
2 or 3 weeks of Xur, 2 or 3 weeks of raid rewards I'm going to miss out on, no killer instinct, no evolve, no assassins creed, no shadows of mordor, no alien isolation, no evil within and all the other awesome games i spent my hard earned money on. How can
microsoft make such an amazing console experience but not build them to last. Iv got a ps3 probably 8 years old, same front loading mechanism and that sill works fine, Xbox One 14 months old and stopped working. My dad has a cd player from the early 80's and
that still works, my car is 11 years old, it has it's origional front loading cd player and that still works. How could you do this to me microsoft? Gaming is my life and I was loving it so much, so many great games and now i have nothing for 2-3 weeks, I'm
sorry but this just isn't good enough microsoft, been gaming all my life and never been so dissapointed, what the hell am i meant to do now for the next few weeks?? MICROSOFT! NOT GOOD ENOUGH!! NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER ANYMORE!! SOME COMPENSATION WOULD BE NICE!!
I earn £15000 a year and in the last 14 months I've spent about £2500 on Xbox One, that's a high precentage of my income. How much profit did microsoft make last year? I think microsoft should send compensate me somehow. Why should i miss out on weeks of gaming
because i was one of the unlucky one's who got a console that didn't last. I did my bit, spent loads of money now i have to miss out through no fault of my own. I really hope i get some official response to this post.

Connecting using router: Error IP, MAC, DHCP, Forwarding... all tried

agent from xbox center said, that xbox cant be broken becouse it cant broke in parts. if something is broken it will be all broken so internet card of my xbox can't be broken [it was connected for 3 minutes one week ago and send to xbox info about my points,
last games played]

 

This is the risk with anything you buy. Sorry to say, nothing is perfect.

 

Oh and no officials come here so your out of luck there too. Looks like it's real life for you for a while huh?

 

as unfortunate as the situation is, things with moving parts will wear out and there is no guarantee on how long they will last, that's life, and you won't get a response here from Microsoft.

 

I need to finish 1 last wall to complete my new gaming room... can I borrow this one?

 

Wow.... you are making it out like you have lost a family member.... it's a gaming console...

1) If you can not afford it do not buy it

2) MS profit vs your income is irrelevant

3) My disc drive failed... I had a replacement console in 2 days... but since I DD.... didn't really affect me

4) Maybe you can put in some overtime at work now to make up for the cost of the X1

 

Ive had my xbox 1 since launch i feel sorry for you. You must be a student if youre only earning that much. But i do agree 2-3 weeks is long for repairs. It should only spend 3 days max unless repair centres only have one or two staff. Especially if its
under warranty.

 

@smiles. That is about the minimum wage in the UK, and Cornwall isn't exactly overflowing with job's..... You got to take what you can if work is hard to get.

 

Unfortunately, it's always a gamble with MS consoles. And sadly, the only comments you're going to get here are snide remarks because most here are members of the Microsoft Guardian Squad. They will back their console like it's their own child. The best
thing is to walk away.
