    My brand-new Xbox One X ceased functioning


    Greetings,

    I acquired, on april the 2nd 2018, a brand new Xbox One X game system which I actually started using by the end of that same month. Today, after using it a very few times and always on very short periods of time (I barely installed some games,
    updates and downloadable contents on it, actually), my Xbox One totally refuse to operate normally.

    At first, it suddenly stopped functioning in a middle of a game I was playing for even less than an hour. I had to reboot the system twice in order to have it functioning again ; I obtained the error codes E115 and E200 successively during these two failed
    start-ups.

    The next day, after turning on my Xbox, I noticed that my user profile wouldn’t connect, no matter what I did. I then tried to remove it from the system and to download it again : it turned out to be impossible to download it because the Xbox was telling
    me the profile was already in use while I removed it minutes ago.

    While trying to fix this issue, the system eventually ceased to boot normally : no matter how many times I tried, I ended up with the start-up error page. I tried to use the “Reboot” or “Reinitialize” options from the advanced start-up screen, but each time
    I did, the controller stopped functioning while the Xbox wasn’t doing anything and the screen seemed to freeze.

    I finally tried to unplug the Xbox from its electric supply cord and let energy drain out of it, then turned it on again : on start-up, I had an other error code, E102 10030C02 8007045D. This particular code “8007045D” actually was part of most of the error
    codes I got since the beginning of my troubles. Maybe that’s relevant.

    From then on, no matter what option I chose to take from the advanced start-up menu, the Xbox only turned off briefly then turned on again to display the same error code page as before.

    Later the same day, after letting the system rest a few hours, I turned it on and the system factory reset I tried to launch before finally started. Once it finished, I tried to reinstall of my games from its Blu-Ray disc. Installation progressed quite normally
    until it reach about sixty per cent and then stopped and never could be resumed again. I tried to cancel it and resume it from the start : it then never got past zero per cent. Likewise, the two apps I tried to download from Microsoft Store remained at zero
    per cent a certain amount of time before stopping, and so forth. No matter how many times I tried installing anything, be it from a disc or Internet, it did the same.

    Finally, I tried to reboot the Xbox hoping to fix the issue, and I again had an error page from which any action on my hand ended up in freezing the system like I told before.

    I therefore fear my brand-new Xbox is totally out of commission and that I couldn’t fix it by my own means. What would you advise me to do now ? To make my message more accurate, let me add that I live in French West Indies.

    If you only purchased it 5 days ago (most retailers give a 30 day return/exchang window) your best bet would be to return it to where you bought it for an exchange. You shouldnt be having this many issues with a brand new system so exchanging it is honestly
    going to be the best/easiest solution.

    It was bought on April 2, not May 2. But still, the first thing you should do is contact the retailer to see if they can exchange it. Otherwise, you'd want to contact support to see about sending it in for a repair. Contact Us | Xbox Support

    If you only purchased it 5 days ago (most retailers give a 30 day return/exchang window) your best bet would be to return it to where you bought it for an exchange. You shouldnt be having this many issues with a brand new system so exchanging it is honestly
