My brand new controller loses connection every use.

I bought this controllee last week and ever since it will not stay connected to my xbox one. It is set as my primary controller, fully updated, full battery and yet it will randomly disconnect. The big X stays lit and after long enough it eventually reconnects.
I bought this because my other controllers buttons are starting to fail. Ive tried power cycling, rebooting, different batteries and ONLY this controller has this problem. Ive seen this elsewhere and im not looking for a workaround that sometimes works. I
want a fixed controller. Why would a brand new OEM device like this stop working randomly. If i should return this for another controller please tell me. Im frustrated and ive searched everywhere for a permanent solution to no avail.

My xbox one keeps signing me out

I am not using an off brand controller and my console is plugged into a splitter. I did recently get a new modum but the connection hasn't been very well and my xbox loses its connection sometimes. could that be the problem?

 

Xbox powers up, but i get nothing, no dashboard or anything

I have the same problem with my brand new one and my controller won't connect either.

update your Xbox One controller to see if the firmware needs an update as sometimes this can cause it to react strangely. Beyond that, our

It doesnt need an update and ive gone through every scenario in that "solution" center.

If all steps within the provided wizard have been attempted with no resolution found, (Step 5)
states as a last suggestion to replace the controller to which controllers do carry a 90 day warranty for the replacing
of the controller if needed.

Unfortunately, there is not more to suggest in reference to troubleshooting seeing as the steps already attempted are made to ensure that it is not the controller being the contributing factor.
