    My blueray sound does not work


    I put in a movie but every time it is completely silent no matter how many times i change the volume/audio settings. I only hear certain sounds like background noises but that is very rare. Please give me a few tips.

    What device are younplaying it to? 5.1 speakers? Headphones? A TV? Please be as specific as possible.

    My first guess is that you have it set for 5.1 and only have stereo. If so set for 2-channel and uncompressed

    I do have this problem on occasion. Usually I can fix it by unplugging the HDMI cable from both the Xbox and TV. Then I do a hard reboot and plug the cable back in while the system is powered down.

    Are you using a pc or xbox one? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the blu ray app to see if that fixes the problem?

    Is this just blueray or sound for other games and apps as well?

    It could be the HDMI cable, or a connection, it could also be the tv/monitor/speaker volume
