Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you created a profile wrong. Unfortunately, there are only two options.

1. add the account to a family and have parent account manage permissions.
2. If you just created the account, you could create a new one.

If you created a Microsoft Account for your Xbox then you can follow the instructions below to change your birthday to the correct age. You will be asked to verify your age.

Adult accounts and accounts for children over 13

If you're trying to change the birthdate for a child over 13, the child must sign in using their own account.

1. Go to account.microsoft.com and sign in with your Microsoft account.
2. From the navigation at the top of the page, select Your info.
3. On the Your info page, select Edit date of birth.
   
   Because you're accessing sensitive information, you may be asked to veryify your identity.
4. Make your changes and select Save.

The only way to promote an account to an adult one, it has to be at least 18 years of age, otherwise you can't do it.

You can make a new gamertag, as as it has been suggested, you would be breaking the ToU and you will not be able to transfer anything from one account to another, or merge them.

Well if you lie on your account information that goes against the Code of Conduct and Terms of Use. What is it he is missing out on that you feel you need to do this? EA has a online age limit of 13 but I believe you can control everything else with the
parental settings.
