    My beta opinion

My opinion on a few aspects of the game so far. Im not sure if people on here really care to read, but hey its a beta and I'm guessing bungie want some feedback

Firstly i think the social aspect of this game is great and i haven't experienced anything like it before on a console. The way you can run into a random guy doing his own thing out in the field is brilliant. Also the tower adds more to this, being able
to go up to anyone and check them out, maybe give them an invite, or kick a soccer around. The best part about this is how seamlessly and smooth everything is. I live in Australia and we get some laggy games when we play with gamers overseas. I haven't noticed
any lag so far at all, and all the players have been from my region. Props to Bungie for an awesome job on this.

Im not a big RPG guy. Most of them are too in-depth and i don't have the time or patience. I like how they have made this a shooter that is accessible to everyone, and if you want to dive a little deeper and get into all the RPG aspects and the story,
its all there. A perfect mix of both.

My only complaint so far is the visuals. This game shows off some decent graphics in stages, but generally speaking i find the textures and frame rate down right ugly. I am playing on an xbox one so i dont know what its like on other consoles but i would
have thought they could have pushed this game a little more. The Xone is more than capable of doing it, Take Wolfinstein for example. Great looking game ultra sharp and perfect frame rate. Yes Destiny is more 'open world,' but it still doesn't feel next gen
to me. The environments also can feel somewhat linear. However, it is the beta and we only have access to one planet really, so i can't really comment on the whole game.

Apart from that this game is rocking for me, i love it! Cant wait to get full access to everything

    :)

  2. Sort these forums out!

It sure looks like we're still in the beta in my opinion. Nearly 2+ months and counting...

I really enjoyed the beta. I can't wait to see what they have in store for the full release. There's a ton of fun and great experiences to be had in this game for sure. The story, customization, features, and gameplay are really nice and each have their
own unique twist, which was a surprise to me.

My only problems reside in the character customization, they need to add mustaches and beards, and go a little bit more in depth with how much you can change.

I have some ideas for the game as well, which I'm not sure if Bungie has already considered, or thought about adding in the full game. Things like clans, guilds, trading, pvp areas with risk/reward loot systems where you can take items from a fallen player,
duels for items, an in-game economy changed by players in real-time. A place to exchange items with other players, an example would be to put up an item for x price, and have another player buy for the desired price.

So far: Great game, really enjoyed the beta, and can't wait for the release! My beta opinion :)

I really enjoyed this game the few days I had access and time to play it. I've played a number of the HALO games before, and I actually enjoy Destiny more than I have enjoyed playing HALO. For the pure HALO fanatics I know I could receive some grief but
I enjoy the aspect of the game as far as allowing a large open area to roam and conduct various missions with anyone and everyone who is in your immediate grid square. Since this was the BETA version I am sure there is ample stories, material, weapons, and
characters that have not been released for the final version. I watched my son play some head to head death matches in Destiny on the PS4 and it looked interesting but then it's not a requirement if you don't feel like playing that route. I found myself many
times just walking around and searching for various minerals or jumping in and lending some firepower assistances to players who had not reached the "BETA" max level of 8 with multiple enemies. I did enjoy the various large events that requires assistance
from other players such as the massive alien tank or hard to kill alien captains that were moving through the check-points. Overall, I like the combination of first person shooter, the customization of personal equipment and weapons, player interaction in
the open battlefield, and the ability to do what you want without any forced path you have to take to progress. The graphics were okay and for a BETA it was still decent. My only concern is with the server space and availability to access the game when it
is finally release on the XBOX One, PS4, and XBOX 360. The last day of the BETA release hopefully gave the game crew some ideas of potential problems with limited space and a lot of players wanting to get on the game. I look forward to the final version coming
    up in September.

Do beta's take away from games?

In my opinion I think they are pointless, they are well... Beta's. They generally are a unfinished product.
