My Adult Account Will Not Let Me Download M Rated Games

My account is set to my current age, 20, my account currently has no parent account, and all restrictions are off. I only have an xbox 360, planning on getting an xbox 1 soon so I wanted to download some xbox 1 games ahead of time. For some reason despite
my account being an adult, when I try to buy xbox games off the website it says I cannot buy it because my account is a child. What makes this even more puzzling is that I tried to download Crysis 3 and it would not allow it, but then it easily let me on my
actual xbox 360. This glitch is so frustrating, I tried for hours to download MGSV with no success. Thanks to this crap I now have to go out and pay a butt-ton of money when I get the newer console. Any kind of help is very much appreciated, and I'm not even
sure I put this post under the right category, please correct me if I did not and I shall remove this thread and make it there.

Problem Parental Settings downloading MOHWF Beta

I already changed my account to adult but it still dosen't let me download M rated games and its really annoying

Not permitted to download content when im an adult?

I was trying to download a rated M demo... it said "this account is not permitted to download this content". So i went and changed my online saftey settings to Adult, becuase i am an adult and after saving it, it still wont let me download and demo of M
rated. Why is this so? and what i can do to fix this?

Thanks for the support message.

Could we start by getting what region you are in?

It sounds like you might simply need to promote your account. If you're on the Xbox One, your one will do this for you automatically, but if you're on the 360, please go ahead and follow these steps below.

Age is determined by the date of birth on the Xbox Live account. Once a person turns 18 (or the legal adult age in your region), he/she can follow the steps here to promote their account.

On your Xbox 360 console, sign in to Xbox Live using the account that you want to change.

Go to Settings and select Account.

In the Your Information panel, select Promote Child Account.

Note “Promote Child Account” will only be available if the date of birth for the account indicates that you have reached adult age for your country or region.

If you’re prompted to sign out of a current game session, select Yes.

On the “Promote your current Xbox Live child account to an adult account” screen, select Continue.

Im trying to get the battlefield 4 beta and my account is an adult account and all the setting are to let me get m rated content and all that but it still say my account isnt permitted to download content with this rating.

it is because you have to be 18 in order to download any M rated content parental controls should allow you to download M rated games and ad on content but it will NOT allow you to download any videos or demos for M or RP (ratings pending) content unless
the adult is over 18 and promoted to an adult account sorry.

I thought you had to be 18 to promote your account to adult. even i you did not have an adult account parental controls should allow you to play M rated games as long as they are not M rated demos or videos only adult accounts can download those.
