My achievements got modded...

So, I was playing Black Ops II with some of my friends last night and we queued up for an S&D match. When the game started, however, someone enabled their mods and proceeded to unlock everyone's Black Ops II achievements. I left as soon as possible, but
the achievements that were modded onto my account are still there. Is there a possibility that I may get banned for this (despite this being completely out of my control) and/or is there a way that my GamerScore can be corrected?

All my achievements were removed!

ast year I got banned for achievement modding. When my account got unbanned all the achievements were reset even the ones I unlocked legit! I understand that they had to remove my modded achievements but they also removed my legit unlocked achievements which
i took time into unlocking! I have been trying to contact microsoft to give me my legit achievements back but they have not done anything!

any time a score is boosted artificially there is ALWAYS a chance you will get the entire score reset, but you will not get banned, now if your score got modded a 2nd time after a reset THEN you would get banned.

Losing your score as previously stated is usually your warning. Another way you could possibly get your gamerscore back is to submit a request to Activision support on either their site or their twitter account, @ActivisionSupport, for a quicker response
time.

okay so I got banned like a year ago for using modding tools for my achievement so my achievements got reset to 0 which isn't bad I can just get it again but the problem is that the achievement is already unlocked on xbox live so I cannot unlock it anymore

No. If the achievements can only be earned while online and your internet connection drops, you would be disconnected so you wouldn't be able to earn them offline. If it's something that can be earned without playing an online game, then it doesn't
matter if your internet drops and you earn it offline. The enforcement team can tell the difference between a modded achievements and a non-modded achievement.

ahh, thank you for the answer! just to answer one more question of mine, lets say i somehow modded some achievements for BO2 into my account, that are online only ones (like the diner turned achievements), if i got those achievements WITHOUT a time stamp on
them, i will be banned? (and for anyone reading this, modding is bad and stupid. please dont risk your account doing this and then complaining of how you "don't know" how you got banned)
