My account was hijacked

I got scammed because I was stupid on Minecraft and my Microsoft account got hijacked.

They stole my account and changed its email, so the Account Recovery Form does not work.

Luckily, I'm logged on to the account on my computer and figured out the email the hijacker used.

I wish to contact a service representative to remove the account permanently or recover the account, but no matter how much I try to navigate the "Contact Us" page, I can't get any email or phone number to call. The virtual assistant just makes me run circles.

Honestly feels hopeless. I'm afraid of what data I might've left on that account. I don't remember.

I've read another post of a similar question and the response was just a repeat of what I already did, but worded like they actually provided a solution.
If there's no solution, please just say it. Instead of making me run more circles, I'd prefer you give me actionable advice on how to proceed.

I have already done this. I want you to ping [mod removed - do not name and shame on the forums] and block that account from Xbox and every other means of accessing my account.

You can report players from your console and Enforcement will receive that report and act on it.

Do not "name and shame" players on the forums; we cannot take action against them (we are not Enforcement) and so calling them out is just hearsay and against the forum rules.

Hi, only you can do that. Log in on account.microsoft.com and select security, and from there you can change your password. It would also be a good idea to remove his device as a trusted device, this will remove all devices as a trusted device, but you
can log in on them again to make them a trusted device. You can remove trusted devices in the enhanced security settings.

So, we actually have a page on our support site to help if you do suspect that your account has been compromised.

The previously posted information is totally correct as well.

Those are great ideas to try as well, but if you want a little more info on what to do in that situation try following the steps here on “I
think my account has been hacked”

Give those steps a try and let us know how that helped with the issue.
