My account was hacked on 4/7/2020and i feel no progress is being made

Hello everyone,

On April 7th, i tried to sign in on my xbox and I noticed the email address was not my email and the password was changed. I reached out to Microsoft in terms of my account being hacked since i never made any changes as well as just made a purchase 2 days
prior on my account before it was hacked with it being under my email address.

Ive spoken to 3 different reps over the last 2 to 3 days and gave then all the information required to absolutely proves its my account but i feel no progress has been made since i use my account under the gamer tag brandoncb31 for several years and i use
it to play games online as a source of income or competitively so its a difficult situation for me since i need my account back urgently.

Is there any advise or any other steps I can take that could possibly speed up the process or is there anything I can do that would help get my account back since im getting no emails or updates from anyone on whats being done for me?

Thank you, i just received an email today actually in terms of making a new account so the information and my gamertag can be transferred. Thank you sooo much!

They should've had you make a new Microsoft account that they would have moved ALL of your games saves and purchases over to.

They would have then sent this information to their escalations team to verify that the account was truly compromised and if they determined that this is when it would have been moved over to the new account.

This process normally takes approximately 72 hours at the most to complete (could be longer with the situation going on in the world right now).

Once this is complete they would normally send you an email to the new email address associated with the new account letting you know that everything has been transferred over and you should be able to sign into that new account and see all your old information
as far as games and gamertag and game saves.

If you do not see an email from them on that new email address I would suggest to check your spam folders and again it could take a little longer with what is going on in the world right now.

The there isn't much you can do other then wait, hopefully they'll get back to you soon

I also feel better being with xbox because I'm not afraid of my credit card details being stolen which is what happened on PSN 4 days ago... again...

I would contact xbox by phone at 1-800 4 my Xbox if purchases are being made that you did not make to your account it might of been hacked, calling them will be the quickest way of dealing with this issue
