    My account was fraudulently used 8 months ago and I just found out


    I don't use my xbox much so when I logged in 3 days ago and noticed I had £3.10 in my account I was concerned

    Checked order history and on the 15 December 2021 there are 10 gifts sent at £3.19 each for fortnite, I do not know who even received these

    I never received any confirmation emails regarding these purchases either and have looked back at my emails in case I missed them (I haven't)

    I have two support numbers: 7006860043 and 700 681 3383 and so far have been told to speak to my bank (although these were gift cards added onto my balance in August 2021 and December 2020)

    And submit a refund request which I have done but under the refund rules cannot receive (section 16, 14 day refund etc) however due to this being fraud I was hoping I might be able to get my money back

    Sorry to hear that, usually when less than 14 days passed after these charges the refund gets approved.

    As almost two years passed since that is not possible to request a refund. (Probably if you talk with a Microsoft agent you're going to receive a similar response)

    For this one is necessary to dispute these charges with your bank and report those charges as fraud with them

    I have performed the reset 10 days ago, I had a backup of my accounts and settings stored on an external hard drive just in case I had problems adding my account. This worked very well after being locked out for 8 months

    trying to actually speak/get in touch with any type of xbox support is impossible so do not buy stick with ps4 and there excellant support
