My account shows silver when I bought 3 month pre paid gold

I bought 3 month pre paid gold and redeemed it on my Xbox, but my account still shows silver for my friends viewing my account. I don't know if its a glitch or something, but how do I fix it. I've already downloaded account again and signed out and back
in. It didn't work still show silver when my friends are looking at my account.

I'm trying to use a 3 month pre-paid gold card and it wont let me put it on my account, i bought it on black friday from walmart.

Xbox Family Gold

I recently bought 3 gold pre paid subs last month. I want to know if it's possible to convert my existing gold to a family gold account? I tried looking in account settings and the option isn't there. My gold family pack ended last month, so I bought 3 sub
cards , but now my younger son wants a account now. So am I able to do that? If so why don't I see the option to join family gold? I only have the 12, 3, and 1 month options.

You show as being a gold member on the forums. As long as you can log into LIVE, I would expect it was just a glitch, or the system needed a bit of time to update your account.

But how can this happen? My Gold membership is a pre paid one which was paid fully, its not a monthly subscription for Xbox Live not to work. So if I migrate my account to US and still stay in Malaysia after 3 months, will my Gold Subscription show up again?

Actually I have found that using a pre-paid card actually does switch off AUTO RENEWAL. I was on month by month xbox live before and then used a 1 month pre-paid voucher. After that I didn't really play online for 2 months. My account reverted to a silver
account.

Also it does state in your Account management that AUTO RENEWAL is off. I have found that this only works with 1month, 3month and 12month pre-paid gold. 48-hour trials don't seem to work.

I don't any credit card info on my account. I bought a pre-paid 3 month at the store.

your account is silver aka free account you need a gold aka paid account to play online either use a CC, or other form of payment or a store bought pre pay code for LIVE Gold.
