My account needs to be changed into an adult account.

When I first made my account years ago I accidentally put the wrong year and never really bothered to fix it, and it never really bothered me much until now. I haven't been on Xbox Live in quite a while now and was trying to log in to check out what some
of my friends were up to and got stuck on the terms of use. I can't accept them. I guess I used my sisters email and we don't know the password nor can we manage to reset it. Is there a way for support to promote my account?

When you say you changed your account into an adult through your dads account?

Do you mean you changed the date of birth?

Changed the privacy settings to adult on the console?

Removed yourself from the family?

What exactly do you mean that you changed yourself to an adult.

First until the date of birth when the account originally was setup reaches 18 your account needs to be in a family as a child account. If it is not your account would be considered as orphaned and not be able to do anything including signing into the account
anywhere till its added back as a child under an adult account.

There are restrictions on child accounts until they become adult accounts like making a custom profile picture.

 

Xbox Adult account accidently deleted

Hi I have just got an Xbox one for X mas and I made account and it was all working
I then bought gold and I was fine until I tried to buy a £35 giftcard (today) to buy the BO3 Season pass and I got the 35 on the console to buy it and when I tried to buy it of the store it said I wasn't allowed and I needed to change settings in online privacy and allow buying online
turns out my brother had deleted the adult account and I can't get back on it as It is deleted I have tried creating new adult accounts but they wont work on allowing my account Sherbertlemons0 to buy stuff how do create a new account to be the adult of Sherbertlemons0 as it wont let me buy stuff
please help me anybody as I have spent £75 this month on stuff for xbox and don't really want to create a new account what do I do and how can I create another new adult account for Sherbertlemons0???

I believe if your account is 18 or older but is a child account can you promote it yourself on the dashboard by going to the Xbox Dashboard > Settings > Account and if you get a prompt that says "Promote to Adult" you can do it from there. That's how i did
it.

If its 17 or younger, the adult account has to promote you.

If its 17 or younger and you have no clue on what the adult account is, then you gotta make a new account.

But I think support can't make changes to your age. Sorry.

 

The age of your account can never be changed. Whatever date you entered when you signed up is what it will stay forever. You would have to create a new account with the correct birth date.

 

I just find it rediculous that support cannot help you with this, it's been affecting me for years and they still can't help me.

 

There's nothing they can do.As mentioned,once you put a date of birth on your account thats it,it can't be changed.
